In March 2024, the Daily Telegraph of Sydney made a poll asking twitter's users view on the recent ban of the drag queen story time for children by the Cumberland Council. Below are some of the interesting replies from users:

Grooming isn't just about sex. Grooming is about getting people to agree that the unacceptable is acceptable, the uncomfortable is comfortable, the abnormal is normal, that instincts are mistaken. It's creating conditions that allow bad behavior to continue unchallenged.

I'd be OK if they took drag queen story time into retirement villages and give the residents some of their time.

Is that a real question? Stopping overly sexualised men dressed as woman speaking with children. They should be arrested not cancelled.

Fetishistic men should be nowhere near children or, for that matter seen anywhere publicly in a civilised society. This is not supported by the majority of people in NSW, in Australia or anywhere else for that matter.

No Sex Clowns should ever be anywhere near children. Why would men hiding behind masks want an audience of children?

They're children!!!! Keep adult concepts such as sexuality AWAY from them!

These men are ever present, they can't access kids through the priesthood anymore so they put on other funny dresses to put parents off guard. What kind of childless male wants to put on lipstick and lingerie to read to the kids?

Leave it in the clubs for adults!
