I heard that the twitter X account of "Australian Conservation Foundation" had been banned. That is a bit of a surprise.

I don't exactly like environmental activists very much, especially when they glue themselves to the road, blocking traffic etc. But they should be allowed to voice their opinions on internet peacefully, even if I don't agree with all of theirs.

Nowadays the political spectrums are fractured, you can no longer simply group people into "left" or "right". Oh BTW, for those people who label themselves left or right, they always possess some outrageous positions that set them apart from the general public drastically. Remember the George Pell apologists? You could suspect that those outrageous positions are the result of a sponsorship from certain interest groups, and I guarantee you that is not too far away from the truth.

Now let's take a look at this "free speech victim", Conservation Foundation, recently they are a bit into anti-nuclear and pro solar power. Let me tell you something, this is certainly not a left-wing only ideology. I have been acquainted to quite a few "established" but "bigoted" person, you can say they are the typical "right wing" people. But guess what? All of them filled their roof with solar panels, some of them are driving electric cars, and surely, none of them wanted nuclear power plants to be built near their homes.

They say that the nuclear power will only make electricity more expensive.

Look, I am not going to enter the argument regarding the nuclear power. I am going to talk about free speech issue today, so I am going to specular on the "perpetrators", I mean the people who banned their account, their reason of taking such a move on such a moderate political group.

They want to have nuclear weapon in Australia. To have nuclear weapon, you need nuclear power plant first to make the materials and grow the team.

Not because they want to defend the nation from invasion, but they want to rule the country easier.

Some of us may be familiar with the theory that North Korea had used nukes to hold its people hostage, and apparently some of our short-sighted politicians had fallen into this playbook, especially when seeing their most hideous crimes being exposed. The only problem is, the power plant would take at least 5 years to complete, and another 5 years before the first nuke available for test. Mate, I don't think they really have enough time for this.

However, the damage had already been done regarding the banning of account of a moderate political group. Frankly, people in power are trying to block all peaceful channels to resolve differences, and if you look the history, this only happens at the very end of a kingdom, an empire, or a dynasty.

Now it is really the time for both the "left" and "right" to unite and restore free speech. It is not so much about the freedom of expression is a "basic human right", it never was protected. The importance is to restore peaceful discourse. Without peace, there is no platform for any political factions, only militia factions left. And we know where this leads us to.
